Paris Orly Airport to Paris City Centre

Paris Orly Airport to Paris City Centre Taxi | Fixed Price from €75

Distance: 18 kmTypical driving time: 30-45 min

Orly is the closer of the two main Paris airports, about 18 kilometres south of the city. A transfer normally takes 30 to 45 minutes via the A6 and the périphérique, which makes it one of the quickest airport runs in France when the road is clear.

As at Charles de Gaulle, Paris taxis run a regulated flat rate from Orly: €37 to the Left Bank and €44 to the Right Bank, at any hour, luggage and tolls included. Orly sits south of the river, so for most travellers the cheaper Left Bank rate applies. It is a fair price, and the honest comparison is not about money but about the queue and about who is waiting for you.

Orly has been reorganised into four connected buildings, Orly 1 to Orly 4, and travellers regularly end up at the wrong one. Orly 1 and 2 form the old West terminal, Orly 3 and 4 the old South. We take the terminal from your flight number rather than from what you remember of the airport, and the driver stands at the correct arrivals exit with a name sign.

Since 2024 metro line 14 runs directly to Orly, which is a genuine improvement on the old Orlyval-plus-RER route and reaches Châtelet in around half an hour. It is excellent if you are travelling light. With two large cases, a child and a hotel that is a further ten minutes' walk from the metro, the calculation changes quickly.

We cover all of Paris from Orly, plus the southern suburbs where many business travellers are actually headed: Rungis, Massy, Antony, Issy-les-Moulineaux, Vélizy and Orsay. The price is fixed per vehicle before departure, and the van takes seven passengers when a sedan would mean two cars.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a taxi from Orly to central Paris?

Our fixed price starts at €75 for a business sedan and €85 for a van of up to seven passengers, including tolls and luggage. A licensed Paris taxi charges the regulated flat rate of €37 to the Left Bank or €44 to the Right Bank.

How long does Orly to Paris take?

Usually 30 to 45 minutes for the 18 kilometres via the A6. Add 15 to 20 minutes in the weekday evening peak, when the southern périphérique is slow between Porte d'Italie and Porte d'Orléans.

Which Orly terminal will the driver meet me at?

Whichever your flight uses. Orly 1 and Orly 2 make up the former West terminal, Orly 3 and Orly 4 the former South. We take the building from your flight number and the driver waits at that arrivals exit with a name sign.

Is metro line 14 not faster than a taxi?

To Châtelet it can be, at around thirty minutes with no traffic risk. Door to door it rarely is, because you still need a connection and stairs at the far end. With more than hand luggage or with children, a car is usually quicker and always less work.

Do you serve the southern suburbs from Orly?

Yes. Rungis, Massy, Antony, Issy-les-Moulineaux, Vélizy, Orsay and the Saclay plateau are all standard destinations from Orly. Give the full address when booking and we confirm the fixed price for it.
